The East Ulverstone Football Club (Crows) is a merger of the Sprent Football Club (Tigers) and the Ulverstone Districts Football Club (Rebels-Red and White vertical stripes).

The merger happened at the end of the 1999 season, with both teams occupying the bottom rungs of the ladder. The crows were chosen as the colours are a combination of the colours of the merging clubs.
The merger was a success from the beginning, with the newly formed club just missing the finals in its first year (2000). In 2001 East Ulverstone made the finals, and in 2002 tasted premiership glory, in only its 3rd year. East Ulverstone went on to make 3 of the next 4 grand finals (2003, 2004, 2006), only to be unsuccessful in all of them. The team made the Grand Final from the elimination final on 2 occasions, but the effort to get there took its toll on the team on the big day.

In 2007 the club lost almost all of its senior team. Many of whom retired, moved away or went to play for Ulverstone in a higher standard competition. The club went through its darkest hours, copping a 40 goal hiding at one stage and only winning 2 games against its cross town rival who also struggled.

Since 2008 the club has been rebuilding and has shown some promising results, making the finals in 2010 and 2011. Unfortunately they didn't make it past the first round of finals being knocked out by Forth two years in a row.

Since the end of the 2011 season the club appointed Zane King in the senior coaching role and Steve Barber as the reserves coach. The coaching staff and committee worked hard off the track to sign many new key players including former Devonport and Ulverstone star, Tim Mee. The club was also worked hard to retain the majority of last year’s playing group and through a solid preseason have developed well as a team. There is a long way to go yet but 2012 looks promising for the crows.
